Should Lawyers Be Allowed to Falsify Evidence
and Coach Witnesses in His Court? Should Judge Gutman Pressure a Plaintiff to
Post a $50,000 Bond to Challenge These Practices in His Court?
PASADENA, CA - April 21 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- "Judge Paul Gutman has
allowed the law firm of Nelson and Fulton, representing Los Angeles County, to
coach witnesses and falsify evidence in a suit challenging Fraud Upon The
Court (BC343351) filed by Anant Tripati, a person of East Indian descent,
against the County of Los Angeles. Tripati obtained deposition admissions of
fraud upon the courts by former and current employees of the L.A. County DA's
Office, and in one deposition a witness admits signing blank discovery forms
in this case and blatant witness coaching occurs," states Bill Liebman, a
Tripati supporter.
"Judge Gutman then proceeded to attempt to prevent Tripati from
challenging the frauds occurring in the case by pressuring him to forego his
claims and refusing to compel responses by County Lawyers regarding Tripati's
challenges of evidence falsification and witness coaching. The Judge next, in
the midst of this case, required Tripati to post $50,000.00 cash security in
order to proceed with this case, believing this would stop Tripati. The
$50,000.00 was raised and deposited with the court March 15th by supporters of
Tripati who believe in judicial reform. This is evidently the first time
anyone required to post such a bond has ever done so in California. Judge
Gutman ruled March 27th against Tripati, allowing the witness coaching and
document falsification submitted by L.A. County counsel. April 27th Judge
Gutman will decide whether the case will finally move forward and be heard, or
if he will rule to cover-up for LA County and disregard the falsified County
documents and the admissions by the perpetrator as inadequate evidence,"
comments Liebman.
"Why after producing documents evidencing fraud perpetrated upon the
court, obtaining depositional testimony admissions of fraud perpetration upon
the court, and uncovering evidence of falsification of evidence and witness
coaching by the defendant has Judge Paul Gutman attempted to block this case
from being heard? It is imperative that litigants be treated fairly and
without apparent bias in a court of law. Judge Paul Gutmans actions undermine
and destroy the very foundations and credibility of the entire judicial system
and the courts. A full and complete hearing with total disclosure must be
ordered in this case. An unbiased Judge needs to consider all evidence
presented before ruling in this case," continues Liebman.
"Judge Gutman should step down from this case. A complaint for his
actions in this case has been filed with the Commission on Judicial
Performance. Not stepping down will allow retribution and bias by him to
continue in this case. Judge Gutman should step down from all cases until the
Commission on Judicial Performance completes its investigation. Fraud upon the
courts and submission of falsified documents and evidence is unacceptable and
must stop."
